Welcome to the Preschool Ministry of Temple Baptist Church. We love preschoolers! Our desire is to nurture and care for children so that they know the love of Jesus. Our goal is to see children grow in the grace of our Lord and Savior, so that they will develop a personal relationship with Him.
Sundays are exciting days at Temple. First Steps takes place from 9-11:30 a.m. for preschoolers (Babies—Kindergarten). Babies and toddlers are taught the love of Christ as they are nurtured and cared for each week. Our two-year-olds—kindergarteners learn about Jesus through center play, Bible lessons, and activities.
On Wednesdays, M3 (Music, Missions, and More!) is offered for three-year-olds—kindergarten from 5:45 – 7 p.m. Babies-two-year-olds are cared for in our nursery during Adult Prayer Meeting/Bible Study time.
When M3 is on break, Babies-Kindergarten are are cared for in our nursery during Adult Prayer Meeting/Bible Study time.
Welcome to the Children’s Ministry of Temple Baptist Church. Our 1st-5th graders meet on the second floor of The Journey Place. As children trek up “the mountain” to the second floor, they will see a high tech theme at the top of the mountain. Vistas represent the areas of the world where Temple is involved in mission efforts. Scripture references are visible along the way. Interactive videos play in the hallways, as well. All of these, and much more, help teach our children what it means to be “on mission for Christ.” Our desire is to see children become faithful followers of Christ and share His love with others.
Sunday School is at 9 and 10:30 a.m. There are classes for all age groups at either time.
Worship is also at 9 and 10:30 a.m. It is our desire to partner with parents in the spiritual development of their children. We encourage our 1st-5th graders to attend Corporate Worship with their families one hour and Sunday School the other hour. Worship Journals for children are provided at “The Kids Zone” located near guest services.
On Wednesday nights (during the school year) grades 1-5 participate in Missions and Music activities from 5:45-7 p.m.
This fall (beginning August 23) we begin with a 7 week Mission Class followed by a 7 week Music Rotation!
Missions classes are divided into age groups for RA (Royal Ambassadors) and GA (Girls in Action). Students participate in various activities and projects throughout the year.
Children participate in music in various ways including musical presentations and a variety of skill groups including Worship Band, Handbells, Puppets, Sign Language, Drama, etc.
We offer many special events throughout the year: Mother/Son, Father/Daughter, Easter Event, Ornament Party, Mission Trip, and much more!
At The Journey Place, all children are on the journey to know Jesus and to walk daily with Him. Every child has value to God and to us. Through our special needs ministry, The Crossing, you will find: a warm, welcoming atmosphere; people who will give your child caring, personal attention; an ongoing opportunity for your child to grow in God’s grace with other children; a family of faith who supports and encourages families of children with special needs.
Our Fish Room is prepared to be that warm, welcoming atmosphere, see pictures below:
Our Weekday Ministry is a part of the preschool ministry of Temple Baptist Church. WEEkday provides quality learning and development opportunities in a loving, Christian environment. We utilize creative approaches to learning and provide centers for our children to explore. Children also learn how to work well with other kids and their teachers, focusing on manners and positive interaction. Academically, we focus on critical skills such as numbers, counting, the alphabet, and sounds. Children focus on a scripture verse each month and are actively involved in learning Bible Stories and about our Lord Jesus Christ. All classes use the WEE Learn (Weekday Early Education) curriculum.
Enrollment opens to the public in March each spring for the upcoming school year.
